Taxes and Spending
Paul Ferro has consistently fought to restrain city spending, and thus keep taxes low. As Councilman, he will continue to meticulous scrutinize and question every expenditure made with your tax dollars. Fiscally responsibility is more than just about talk, it is about action. During his last term, he offered 80% of the proposed reductions to the Mayors proposed budgets. That has saved every taxpayer in Ward Two hundreds of dollars.
Quality of Life
As a City Councilor, Paul Ferro has prided himself on his constituent service, helping make our community a great place to live and raise a family. Whether it is filling potholes, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars in road projects for Ward Two, or combating blight, Paul Ferro has been a Councilman who has delivered for Ward Two. That is one reason why Bloomberg News chose Marlborough as the best place in Massachusetts to live and raise a family.
During the next two years, Paul Ferro will continue to fight to make Marlborough a better place to live, by addressing the little issues that make the quality of life for all residents better.
Fixing Our Streets
Since first elected, Paul has advocated for funding for road repair and construction across Ward Two. In just the last two years, Madison Street, Harvard Street, Exeter Street, Berkeley, and lower Edinboro have, or will be re-constructed. Paul will continue to advocate for road repair funding.
Bringing Jobs to Marlborough
Paul has always fought to make Marlborough a place that is attractive to businesses that create jobs for residents. He has been on the front line working to attract large employers like Vestas Systems, Boston Scientific, and Cytec to the city, creating more and better jobs via tax and other incentives.
Attracting business doesn’t end at tax breaks. That is why Paul has worked to make Marlborough an attractive place for employers by making it an attractive place for employees. That includes keeping Marlborough and affordable place to live. These efforts are in part why Bloomberg News chose Marlborough as the most Affordable Community in Massachusetts to live and work.
